Route details
You join our group transfer from Tirana (at 14:00 from the city center or at 15:00 from the airport) and arrive mid-afternoon in Shkodra (84 km, approx. 2.5 h), where you check in at your hotel.
If there is enough free time, you can visit the legendary Rozafa Castle for panoramic Alpine views, then stroll the pedestrian zone and lively bazaar, sampling local dried fruits and nuts.
After dinner, everyone meets to preview tomorrow’s adventure, and you are welcome to enjoy a nightcap before an early start.

You trek through mountainous and alpine terrain, so good fitness and sure-footedness are essential. Previous experience helps but is not required if you are confident in your condition. Be ready for poor weather, rocky unmarked trails, and remote sections. Hiking days last 5-8 hours, with optional longer days to cross passes. Expect daily climbs of 900-1 000 m, with occasional days up to 1 100-1 300 m.
Accommodation
Many welcoming guesthouses and huts are available throughout the journey.
City hotel nights are in ensuite single, twin, or double rooms. Solo travellers pay a private-room supplement for the first and last night. We aim to limit shared rooms to four beds, but during peak season some hosts may still use up to six beds per room.
