You depart Tirana City Center at 14:00, with an Airport pick-up at 15:00, then enjoy a 3.5-hour drive through coastal plains and along the Vjosa River to Tepelena. Upon arrival, you settle into a family-run guesthouse near the trailhead, unwind, meet your fellow hikers, and join your guide for a briefing on the days ahead.

Good fitness and sure-footedness are essential â previous hiking experience is helpful but not required. Be ready for poor weather, rocky, unmarked paths, and remote conditions. Hiking days range from 5 to 8 hours, with optional longer days to cross passes or peaks. Expect daily climbs of 900â1,000 m, with occasional ascents up to 1,100â1,300 m.
