I really believe I am lucky for being born and living in this attractive country, Albania. Passionate about the wild nature, fascinating history, and mindblowing traditions and local rules, I would be happy to welcome you to Albania and share all this beauty with you and show you around. In the 7 last year I have been exploring my country and working as a tour guide, hotel manager and welcoming service. From all my little experience so far have understood that tourism and promoting my country is something I love and enjoy so I believe I would never get tired of this. Despite my job position, I can not promise you will find me always in the office. I really enjoy guiding and highly participate in Hiking Guides around the Albanian Alps or Peaks of Balkans. Also, we travel quite a lot in cultural sites of Albania and UNESCO sites, so there is a good chance of seeing each other inside a museum, or somewhere in the evening for a Raki! Gezuar! 🙂

Route details

Day 1
Durrës and the UNESCO City of Berat

The day begins with an early departure from Tirana toward the Adriatic coast and the historic city of Durrës. One of Albania’s oldest settlements, it reveals layers of history shaped by different civilizations over more than two millennia.

During a short city tour, you’ll visit the main landmarks, including the Roman Amphitheater and the Medieval Market, getting a clear sense of the city’s rich past before continuing the journey inland.

By afternoon, the route leads to Berat, a UNESCO-listed city famous for its hillside houses and known as the “City of a Thousand Windows.” Here, we explore its three distinctive quarters: the castle district of Kala, the historic Mangalem below the fortress, and Gorica across the Osumi River, linked by a stone bridge. Inside the castle, highlights include the Cathedral of St. Mary and the Onufri Iconography Museum.

For those interested, a wine tasting at a local winery can be arranged in the evening. Overnight stay in Berat.
