I really believe I am lucky for being born and living in this attractive country, Albania. Passionate about the wild nature, fascinating history, and mindblowing traditions and local rules, I would be happy to welcome you to Albania and share all this beauty with you and show you around. In the 7 last year I have been exploring my country and working as a tour guide, hotel manager and welcoming service. From all my little experience so far have understood that tourism and promoting my country is something I love and enjoy so I believe I would never get tired of this. Despite my job position, I can not promise you will find me always in the office. I really enjoy guiding and highly participate in Hiking Guides around the Albanian Alps or Peaks of Balkans. Also, we travel quite a lot in cultural sites of Albania and UNESCO sites, so there is a good chance of seeing each other inside a museum, or somewhere in the evening for a Raki! Gezuar! 🙂

Route details

Day 1
From the Coast to the Stone City

Leaving Tirana, we travel south toward the Ionian coast, where the landscape gradually opens into sea views and rolling green hills. The first stop is Porto Palermo — a quiet bay dominated by a historic castle perched above the water. You’ll have time to walk around, take photos, or simply enjoy the calm atmosphere by the sea.

By midday, we arrive in Sarandë, a relaxed coastal town known for its promenade and wide views over the Ionian Sea. This is a great place for lunch or a short stroll along the waterfront. A short drive later brings us to Ksamil, famous for its small offshore islands and clear, turquoise water, where you can unwind on the beach or go for a swim.

The route then continues inland to the Blue Eye, a striking natural spring with deep blue water framed by greenery. It’s an ideal stop to pause, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

In the evening, we reach Gjirokastër, a UNESCO-listed city known for its stone houses and impressive hilltop castle. After checking in, you’ll have free time to explore the old town or relax before the overnight stay.
