Feel the rush of rafting on the Black Drin River, the longest river in Albania, as you navigate clear waters framed by forested banks and narrow gorges. This active experience reveals a wilder, less-visited side of Albania, combining natural landscapes with authentic heritage in one dynamic day.
The journey begins in Tirana and follows the scenic Rruga e Arbrit northeast through mountainous terrain, passing Klos, Bulqizë, and Burrel on the way to the Drini i Zi area near Kukës. The road itself is part of the experience, offering panoramic views before reaching the river. After rafting, the route continues toward an Ottoman-era stone bridge spanning the Mat River, set within a dramatic canyon.
With professional guides, full equipment, and a safety briefing included, the rafting is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. The day flows from river adventure to cultural exploration before returning to Tirana in the late afternoon.
