Route details

1. Curtea de Argeș
The tour begins with a visit to Curtea de Argeș, the former princely capital of Wallachia. Here you will see the Curtea de Argeș Monastery, the ruins of the Wallachian Princely Court, and the St. Nicholas Princely Church, important landmarks reflecting the medieval and religious heritage of the region.

2. Poenari Fortress
The program continues with a stop at Poenari Fortress, the medieval stronghold associated with Vlad III. To reach the ruins, you will climb approximately 1,480 steps, followed by time to explore the remains of the fortress and enjoy panoramic views over the Argeș Valley.

3. Transfăgărășan
The route proceeds along the Transfăgărășan mountain road through the Southern Carpathians, with scenic stops at selected viewpoints and time for short photo breaks in the alpine landscape.

Return to Bucharest in the evening.
