Route details

Departure from Belgrade
Your tour begins with a 9:00 AM departure from Belgrade, driving along scenic roads toward the Fruska Gora region.

Krusedol Monastery
Our first stop is the Krusedol Monastery, a 16th-century Serbian Orthodox monastery where you will learn about its fascinating history and cultural significance.

Beekeeping Museum & Wine Tasting
Next, we visit the Beekeeping Museum and an adjacent winery, where you can taste handmade honey and a selection of high-quality local wines, including the unique Bermet dessert wine produced only in this region. According to legend, Bermet was even served on the Titanic.

Sremski Karlovci
Following this, we arrive in the charming baroque town of Sremski Karlovci, where a guided stroll takes you past the oldest high school in Serbia, the famous “Four Lions” Fountain, and the Orthodox church.

Petrovaradin Fortress
Our journey continues to the Petrovaradin Fortress, offering panoramic views of Novi Sad. This impressive 18th-century fortress once marked the border between East and West and is now famous as the venue of the EXIT Festival, one of Europe’s largest music festivals.

Novi Sad Old Town
We then explore the vibrant city of Novi Sad, walking through its old streets lined with Baroque, Classical, and Neo-Gothic buildings. Colorful facades, lively squares, and the city’s warm atmosphere reveal why Novi Sad is known as the “Serbian Athens” and was designated European Capital of Culture in 2022.

Free Time
After the guided portion of the tour, you will have free time to enjoy lunch and explore the city at your own pace.

Tour provider's comments

As the tour leader/guide, my responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the excursion. This tour is generally low-risk and suitable for most visitors, but several safety aspects are considered and communicated to guests in advance.

Parts of the tour involve walking on uneven surfaces, including cobblestone streets (in Sremski Karlovci and Novi Sad) and stone paths or stairs at Petrovaradin Fortress and Krusedol Monastery.

During the tasting of selected bee products such as honey and propolis, guests are informed that these are natural products that may cause allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to bee products, pollen, or related substances. Participants are therefore advised to inform the guide in advance if they have any known allergies.

At the beekeeping museum and winery, guests may taste local wines including Bermet. Wine tasting is optional and participants are encouraged to drink responsibly.

Overall, the tour involves light walking, short transfers, and standard sightseeing activities, with minimal risk when safety guidelines are followed.
