I am local guide in the Danube Delta, Romania! I organize birdwatching and wildlife photography tours in this area, for small groups. Among other things, I love nature and photography. I discovered this passion a few years ago, after I settled in Mahmudia, Danube Delta, Romania. Route details

This shorter version of the classic 6-hour tour offers a condensed 3-hour introduction to the Danube Delta’s rich wildlife and wetland habitats.

Departure: Guests meet at the guesthouse and set off by boat into the UNESCO-protected Danube Delta. This short tour highlights the main habitats of the delta while fitting into a limited schedule.

Boat Route: Cruise through the restored Carasuhat area and the traditional waterways of the delta, including Litcov Channel, Gorgova, Porcoava, Isac, and Uzlina Lakes. Enjoy the scenery of channels, open lakes, and reed-filled wetlands.

Wildlife Watching: Observe pelicans, White-tailed Eagles, herons, egrets, kingfishers, and glossy ibis. Occasionally, you may spot wild boar, Eurasian otters, wild cats, or raccoon dogs along the shores.

Return & Lunch: Head back to the guesthouse for a late lunch of traditional fish dishes, followed by a short rest before the day continues.
