We want to take you into the heart of the Malyovitsa region which is known as the cradle of Bulgarian mountaineering. Here, steep, inaccessible north faces give way to gentler southern slopes.
Beginning at Malyovitsa Hut (1,700 m) in Rila National Park, travelers hike past glacial lakes, through self‑regulating ecosystems rich in rare wildlife, and ascend to the 2,729 m summit where panoramic views stretch across Bulgaria’s largest national park. Along the way, they discover the legacy of climbing pioneers and the park’s 120 shimmering mountain lakes fed by ancient rivers.
Perfect for hikers and nature lovers seeking an immersive alpine experience. It is important to note that travelers should be in good physical condition to enjoy this challenging yet rewarding trek.
