Route details

Day 1
Tirana / Sarandë → Gjirokastër (Arrival)

Plan your flight to Tirana so that your arrival is no later than 15:00. A 3-hour transfer (250 km) takes you to Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accommodation is in a traditional hotel in the historic center. Depending on the season, enjoy a city tour: the bazaar, castle, Cold War stories, or a Kadare-inspired walk. Dinner with local recipes is served at the hotel, where you’ll meet the guides and review the program.
